SACRED MESSENGER'S INN

Located at Seng Poh Road, the  Sacred Messenger's Inn is a hybrid architecture that combines a temple, hotel, and a bird sanctuary. Inspired by the long lost neighborhood of Bukit Ho Swee, this project aims to replicate the kampung lifestyle once led by its residents. This project uses eco-friendly materials such as bamboo, and makes use of natural ventilation and daylighting, while keeping the usage of glass to a minimum. Hydroponic farming is implemented, supplying guests with home-grown produce.
The design of the inn caters to the convenience and requirements of older guests, as well as ensuring that the structure is safe for birds- providing them with places to nest, feed, and relax. The Inn strives to create a mutually beneficial relationship between humans and birds, allowing us to be more connected to nature. This project serves as a reminder of the past, a place to keep the memories of Bukit Ho Swee alive.
