I came to the idea of creating bunny rabbit plush toys (or plushies) through one of my cosplays - I needed to create a bunny plush as a prop, but there were none which resembled what I wanted to create nor any patterns. I'd wanted to give creating plushies a try, since I had shown an interest in this type of craft as a child.

So I created my own patterns from scratch, without much knowledge of what I was doing, and it all.. worked, somehow.

 

I had enjoyed the process a lot, and suddenly a lot of my friends and acquaintances said they would love one too!

I practiced some more and created the pink rabbit above for a friend; she'd wanted one based on a stuffed rabbit featured in the anime & manga 'Ouran Highschool Host Club'. I created it in my own style and tried to resemble the original as much as I could in this way.

I also tried my hand at some smaller versions and gave them to a few of my friends as gifts.

I now feel almost confident to start my own etsy store for them. I plan to improve my skills further this summer and set up my shop, so watch this space!
