Australian Reptile Photography
Throughout most of my life I have had a major interest in the reptiles of the world and have gotten into photographing some in Australia. All of the animals featured here are wild and native. This project is a work in progress and I will continue to update it.
A marsh snake (Hemiaspis signata) hiding from me in a thicket after it saw me approaching on the path. These snakes are relatively small and mildly venomous. Found at Lamington National Park, Qld.
A green tree snake (Dendrelaphus punctulatus) eating a southern leaf-tailed gecko (Saltuarius swainii) in Lamington National Park, Queensland. This snake species is non-venomous and common but can be hard to get a good picture of because they are shy.
