Guldhornene (The Golden Horns)
The danish national treasure Guldhornene was created in 3D for use in the new "Guldhorn- og Kulturcenter Slotfelt" (golden horn and culture center Slotfelt). The original horns (or original replicas, as the original ones were stolen in 1802) were at the national museum, and the exibition needed something new. The solution was to make a 3D reproduction and have it running in a Cheoptics 360, a system that via an optical illution makes the black in the video transparent, while maintaining the illuminated parts. When projected onto a pyramid-shaped glass construction, it makes the horn feel like a hologram.
