This is a submission for a weekly design contest for the Satori Graphics discord. The objective was to create a poster design that focuses around a trainer brand while following with a brutalist design trend. The design could incorporate typography, so I decided to use the tagline "Fuel the Finesse." I decided to make the overall layout split in two, like one of the designs I took inspiration from in my moodboard.
Moodboard inspiration
I decided to make the top of the poster more linear, and the bottom type elements more wavy and slanted to create a contrast of composition. Brutalist designs focus primarily on a raw look, using bold colors and bold fonts to create emphasis on the content. Satori Graphics mentioned it has 90s vibes and gives off a controlled chaos.
