The Calvary Academy Logo Design

The Calvary Academy Project
Explaining the design system:
I began by identifying what I believe the brand seeks to portray. They are:
Excellence
Trust
Modern
Schooling
Youthfulness
Christianity
For this, I have suggested the main colours should be Blue and Yellow.
Blue gives a feeling of trust and accountability. If correctly applied to designs can give off a modern feel.
Yellow as a colour appeals to children and gives off a feel of Youthfulness and schooling.
supporting/secondary colours have been shown in the images of colour palettes in the sections above.
The Logo:
The suggested brand colours have handled some major aspects as regards how the brand image is portrayed except a show of Christianity. I sought to ensure that the logo does justice to this by ensuring that the symbol of the cross is made a part of the icon.
The logo created contains both typography and icon. The ‘Calvary’ was written out with a serif font called Cinzel bold. It is free to be used for commercial purposes. It is an elegant font and when combined with a sans serif can give off a gentle feeling of class and authority.
Academy was written out with a font called ‘point’. Point is known to give off a modern feel. it is a typeface with each letter having sharp points, hence the name. Combining it with the serif font, Cinzel was done in an attempt to show the elegance and class of the brand.
It might be a new school but the logo and other brand qualities can be used to portray a form of authority and quality assurance that can earn the trust of parents of potential students.
