This collage serves as a collection of advice to my past self. A short explanation behind the imagery-- (1) Circle of middle fingers: Don't give a f*ck about what other people say or think about you behind your back  (2) Ruler: Stop comparing yourself to other people  (3) Marbling Background: Go with the flow with things in life and don't stress out too much  (4) Faint Chinese Inks in Background (along with addition of my Chinese name stamp): Never forget your roots 

The theme for this collage was cultural identity. Being a third culture kid and an international student, many a times I think about where home really is. To me, Hong Kong is my home. You can see photographs of skyscrapers, street graffiti, and the airport in Hong Kong layered on top of each other to create a bright and vibrant atmosphere that reflects Hong Kong's atmosphere. The purple subway sign is where my home in Hong Kong is located, and the text incorporated is scanned from Chinese newspapers as well as my horoscope.
