Q U I C K SKETCHES
Every thursday Im drawing from photo references of the telegram channel "Todaywewilldraw". These are quick sketches lasting from 1-5 minutes.
Various tools I use: wax crayons, colored pencils Faber-Castell Polychromos, oil pastels, gouashe, watercolor pencils.
I'm not trying to copy the reference but to find a distinctive feature and exaggerate it.
The most intense color and texture is oil pastel.
Less intense color are wax crayons. Therefore, I paint over the background with the edge of the crayon.
Once I tried to paint over with gouache and add details with pencils on top. But this method is not suitable for quick sketches, where the time is given from 1 to 5 minutes.
I find it a fun and interesting challenge to draw people.
