WicCan is a craft beer company that uses crystals to name their beer. The design for WicCan is supposed to embody the feel of a wiccans alter. Thing that inspired me with these cans were crystals. Waxxen was the font that was used to create the logo. With each can and crystal themed brew, the colors from that stone was used to create the background of the can.
Obsidian Attack
Obsidian Attack was the first challege we had to overcome. Obsidian can be a grungey stone with a wide variety of colored flecks. The most basic obsidian stone is black. In this design we tried to embody the randomness of an obsidian stone while embracing the rich black color. To embody the WicCan theme, we added moon doodles at random just like the obsidian stone.
Amicrisp
Amicrisps biggest challege was the name. This can came easy to me when designing. Amithist is a basic yet beautiful stone. Most of the time it is polished and formed into different shapes. I wanted to create the feel of the roughness when formed into the earth. Depending on the stone you can get a white/purple clarity on the stone which is why we loved the lighter and whiter look of this can.
Chocolate Opalite
Opalite can come in different colors. The most common one is a blue opal which is beautiful. Opalite is an opal with a brownish color with flecks of gold and browns. The way the light reflects off of it makes it look like a cat eye. With this can we showcased the swirly prettiness of the stone. We also wanted the can to look like actual chocolate. Opalite and chocolate was a beautiful combination.
