Wavemaid was my first risograph print prroject made in January 2020 through SIGNAL Melbourne's workshop run by Glom Press based on Wurundjeri Country, in which the practical part consisted of creating three different layers for three different inks (fluorescent pink, federal blue and blue). This procedure was done through a small thumbnail sketch initially, which then moved onto enlarging the thumbnail and recreating the linework and printing out a simple digital gradient for both the blue and pink layers and the main linework was created with the federal blue layer. 

This artwork is inspired by traditional art in Chinese culture and is reminiscent of summer days, in which Wavemaid depicts a maiden who comes from the seas.
