This is my collection titled "Mirrors".
I was inspired by the work of Megan Sigler, and her Broken Photography Series, as well as the mirror series by Sandra Alice Photography.
Using my peers as models, I used different angles (or "perspectives") to show different sides of people that others cannot see. This project focussed around mental health and what people can be hiding from the world. I chose mirrors because I feel they can see the true side of someone, from being upset and alone in the bathroom, to inspecting your insecurities in the bedroom.
I also did research into colours and their significance.
For the photo above and the three below, I used blue to give a very angelic, and sorrowful feeling to the photo.

For the photo above and below, I added green to evoke different emotions.
For the photo below, I played around with masking, and explored some different layering editing, as well as adding a lens flare to add extra "texture" to the photo.

self-confidence.

This photo is just a more exposed version of the original. I thought the colours were very evocative and give the photo a very light feeling, although the shadows add depth and perspective.
