Vocabulario Básico delves into the preservation of language through the storage of vernacular expressions and idioms from the Tuscan Maremma. This project, born out of a collection of words and phrases typical to the region, manifests as a series of posters and stickers to be disseminated throughout the urban landscape of Scansano, a medieval village steeped in Maremma's culture and tradition.

Embedded within the fabric of Maremma's identity is a poignant song, 'Maremma Amara,' encapsulating the complex emotions tied to this rugged land between Tuscany and Lazio. Despite its cultural richness, Maremma faces challenges of depopulation, youth unemployment, and the erosion of local dialects. Against this backdrop, the imperative to safeguard these expressions emerges organically, as they serve not only as linguistic artifacts but as embodiments of the region's collective wisdom.
