Expressionist Self-Portrait

I did this portrait during my Sophomore year during the Covid 19 pandemic. This self-portrait was made to be expressive. When making this piece I wanted to convey my feelings during the pandemic. I used warm colors on myself in order to represent the blissful lifestyle I was carrying out during isolation, living carefree in my little bubble while the world around me was experiencing sickness and hardship. Because of this, I decided to use blues and black to express those feelings. This piece was made to show my gratitude for the health my family and I sustained during a historic time of sickness.
