Ice Wolf Paper Project

Ice Wolf is a children's show in which a white, blonde baby girl is born into an Inuit tribe.  This play focuses on the negative effects of predjudices, and encourages children to look past the unfamiliar.

My paper project pulls directly from Inuit life.  The fur was essential for them to keep up their body temperature.  The humans are in dark furs, emphasizing the color of their skin and hair, and making a strong offset between the young girl and the animals.  The animals' fur is natural, but their masks are based off of Inuit carvings and totum poles.

This project won an honorable mention at KCACTF in 2012.
