Cinnamon Beer/Cider
The cold type carbonated beverages comes to the industry which carries various types of unhealthy compounds which keep the health aware consumers away from the carbonated beverage usage. However, these types of beverages has a higher demand in tropical counties and also in four seasonal countries when comes to summer. Beyond concerning the weather or climate there are a lot of fans of carbonated beverages, especially the youth.
This is a carbonated cold type beverage which carries the flavors of cinnamon bark and the cinnamon leaves for the first time in the food industry. This is a unique combination with all natural ingredients which has no adverse health claims but the functional health benefits. Cinnamon has an ability to act as a mouth refreshing ingredient. Low level of the sugar content and the natural cinnamon sugar flavor enhance the taste profile of the overall product.
AHEAD/RIC-16 project team invented this product to use as a cleansing cold beverage with a good refreshing ability. No flavor is overpowering here and this would go with any food type be increasing the apatite without harming the original taste of the food savory or sweet. The product has chosen the best suitable cinnamon type out of major districts which grow cinnamon in Sri Lanka. A trained sensory panel is approved the product with a greater values of overall acceptability.
