Whisk is a 12,000 s.f. advertising agency located in Philadelphia, PA near the Philadelphia National Airport. The existing building was completely gutted to the slab, brick walls, and open web steel joist. The program was to produce an advertising agency that could accommodate a wide range of creative fields. My idea behind Whisk came from the action of whisking in an advertising agency. The term whisking comes from the idea of blending ideas together and how advertisers interpret a client's product and brand it. Through branding the product, there is a series of processes the product must go through to come to the end result. This could also be looked at as a timeline of progression, which became part of the concept as well.

 

The main creative space is surrounded by walls that become a digital portfolio of the company’s work, but what happens behind the walls is where the whisking takes place. Within the timeline is the creative department where the space whisks and shifts to create a dynamic work space. This is then amplified by acoustic featured faceted walls. The idea was to create a fun, hip, and eclectic environment for the workers and clients.
