The 7 Virtues Project

UI/UX

Living Virtuously

A love letter to philosophy and virtue ethics. Based on the Seven Heavenly Virtues, this project explores virtuous living in the second millennium and how it applies to us and society.
An interactive experience built around the history and philosophy of virtuous living. Exploring the paintings by Piero del Pollaiolo and Sandro Botticelli to uncover their hidden meanings.

We used shapes and symbolism to create a parallel between how the seven virtues can apply to our way of living and how they were relayed in the art from the Renaissance.
The illustrations depict the seven virtues by referencing symbols and allegories from each painting, while the frames are used as navigational devices throughout the experience.

A calm soundscape, subtle animations and meaningful interactions are used to take users through a journey that revolves around art and philosophy.
