COLORFORMS

As the world has moved into an even more digital place over the past few years, all sorts of businesses and organizations have had to find unique ways to connect with those who once supported them in person. This is especially true for fine arts and performing arts institutions. As part of an exciting new initiative, San Francisco Ballet and SFMOMA have come together in collaboration to bring a beloved ballet company and a renowned museum together through film, straight to viewers’ homes. Through the talent and vision of director Ezra Hurwitz and choreographer Myles Thatcher, COLORFORMS was created as a way of bringing dance and art together in one colorful, joyous film that breathes new life and a new context into ballet. The title and credit design played a small but important role in giving the film a memorable and unique identity that speaks to this fresh take on dance, art, and experiencing both in this new medium.
