Where the God Let be (신 나릴 재, Sin nalil jae)

Artwork for this projecet 'Korean Folk Tale Illustration'. With traditonal drawing set, this man makes appear the korean folk tale's scene. '신 나릴 재' has double meaning, the one for 'get excited' and another one for 'where the god let be'





Netherworld Emissary (저승사자, Jeoseungsaja)

They are the death, and do their service for the dead, leading them frome this life to after life. But they do some faults sometime, bring wrong person to netherwolrd, and spare some life time for any people who beg. It shows this emissaries standing for death have some human kind mind at korean folk tale.





Charcoal Stream (탄천, Tancheon)

Tancheon is a stream where the netherworld emissary wash a charcoal to catch a Dongfang Shuo, who lives eternal by decepting. Washing Charcaol for making it white lets Shou laughing a lot. Then Shou confess that he lives everlast and got cought.





Uturi (우투리)

Folk tale about Uturi is borned for expressing the subject of the times, when the people live so tough and hard. So they want a hero for saving the world with deafting the corrupt officials. Uturi has wings and is regarded as extraordinary savior, but on the battle with corrupt army, He got shoot on the wing joint. And he was buried under the rock, waiting a right time for saving people someday.
