At the end of 2019, the Manager of Cary Mosque in NC, USA, contacted me after he liked one of my artworks, and he asked me If I could work on the calligraphy artworks inside the mosque that they have been working on establishing for years.

Then the Covid-19 hit the world and my trip to America was disrupted with the cancellation of flights and the postponement of travel visas at the consulate for an indefinite period!

I was very frustrated and felt that I will lose that opportunity, but I convinced the manager to start making the canvas artworks that would be in the mosque first, and to ship it to him for now until the issue of travel is resolved, and I worked on these paintings over the course of two years in partnership with my dear wife Nour Al-Huda, who helped me coloring them.

Fortunately, I benefited during this period from working as an trainee in architectural restorations in some mosques here in Istanbul, so I gained more experience that I needed, especially since it is not easy for a calligrapher to move from writing on paper to writing on walls and domes, as he needs different skills, tools, and preparations.

After struggling with visas and consulate appointments, we were finally able to travel to complete the artwork inside the mosque, and my story began with the dome that I was assigned to decorate over the course of 3 weeks of hard work..
