This design started as an early assignment in my graphic design education -- use Adobe Illustrator (for the first time!) to draw two beetles based on a photograph -- and expanded into a fun way to flex my skills at the end of my education. I can see this design as a postcard, a print, or even an image for an infographic about beetles. The goal was to better the design, which I was much more capable of doing with my learned Illustrator skills/practice, and I believe I accomplished that goal.
