Piotrkowska street and its closest surrounding area is a cultural, business and shopping center of Łódź. The purpose of the "metropolitan Piotrkowska st." was to find a coherent strategy for the development of the central part of the city, to propose new communication solutions and to create the metropolitan character of the place. The project involves the conversion of 19th century street in the linear equivalent of the main market square and defines its sphere of influence.
