We traveled North, heading into Northern Ireland which is apart of the United Kingdom. We had another excursion, which was a sheepdog herding experience. We went to a mutigenerational homestead and got to whiteness what it was like to be a sheepherder, and to train dogs. We also go to see what the process was like for sheering sheep. Before shipping off again, we got a walking tour of Derry by a local guide and historian who brought up on street after street with many murals depicting the troubles the area had witnessed. There were images of peace, of historic figures, of war, and of hope.
We had an included dinner at the hotel that night followed by a karaoke night with a bar just down the street from our lodgings. Many of the tour group took part of the fun - Kyle sang 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley, and 'Feeling Good' by Michael Bublé. Zak sang 'My own worst enemy' by Lit. Kyle ended up winning the karaoke competition. It was a pretty fun night!
It was to be an early morning for everyone, so we all went to be a little after midnight. Our next spot was the iconic location of Giant's Causeway, my second favorite location!
