As part of the class Design Theory and History at Aarhus University, we had to redesign various everyday items into different historic design styles. One of these assignments was to redesign the Morphy Richards streamline toaster into the postmodern age, more specifically the colorful Memphis style.

I started modelling the toaster from scratch, leaving out the swollen streamline look while adding colors, confusion and the characteristic Memphis stripes. The result can be seen in the renderings below. Modelled in Rhino3D and rendered with V-Ray.

Another assignment during the class was to redesign a camera into the Dutch De Stijl movement. I did these iterations using Adobe Illustrator.
