Original Source Images Extracted From Video
The idea behind this comic started as a one-off joke. It didn't really fit with any of the videos I was making at the time so I decided to turn it into a stand alone piece. Since this was a one man job, getting the source images involved shooting video of each scene, with each character, and then combining the desired stills in Adobe Premiere. Bringing those images into Photoshop, I simply painted overtop of them using the pen tool since my freeform drawing skills with a mouse weren't good enough at the time. Even adding the extra chunkyness to Iv's body was a slight challenge.
