Junk Love – Title Sequence
Junk Love is a graduation project from the National Filmschool of Denmark. The film stars Peter Plaugborg (Submarino) as 'Edwin'. He is alone on the spaceship 'SS Hamlet', when a leak suddenly begins to suck out oxygen. Edwin insists that he can fix it, but gradually, as the hours pass, it looks increasingly hopeless. Only when his ex-wife 'Sofia' (Lisa Carlehed) make contact, Edwin realize there might be a reason to fight his way back to earth.
I created a poetic title sequence emphasizing the silence that vacum creates in space. It is a contrast between the calm and mythical, and the contrived and mechanical - a contrast between man and technology.
