Technology helped me with my brainstorming ideas because there is a plethora of artwork.  Technology will help you with gathering ideas of what you want to do for you illustration.  Pintrest has a lot of different ideas.  Just by typing in vector drawings you will get a bunch of different ideas with a big range.  Technology can also be a bad thing because you never know what you’re going to get when you type something into a website.  Technology can’t always be relied on because, it is what people post all around the world, they may see vector illustration as something else that what you see it as.
If this technology didn’t exist I would find outside inspiration, looking at my everyday life.  I knew that I wanted to do something with fish; I would begin by looking in ponds, or my pet fish.  I could use the library, looking in books about marine life.  Having technology is helpful at times because there is so much information and examples of amazing art.  But it there is a couple downsides to it as well, the outside world is full of many other inspiration ideas.  You are finding your own inspiration in your own way.
Technology helps with learning about other artists because you can see what inspires them.  Most artwork defines that person in some way.  They may connect with something in their art.  Technology helps by putting their work out there and exposing it to the world in many ways.  Downsides to putting other artists work on the internet because other people can copy their art and call it their own.
