Earlier this winter, Fossil held a competition to have people create a design for their iconic watch tins. The theme was '30 Years on the Open Road' and each tin was to be designed with the term vintage in mind.
I focused more on the colour scheme, to give it a vintage feel and for the imagery, I wanted to create what I thought the open road meant to me. As a child I loved staring out the window of the car on road trips and simply admiring the scenery. Now adays I still enjoy it; the only difference is that I'm more interested in photographing it as well. For the sides of the tin I decided to create a design that would wrap around and create a seamless landscape.
Although I didn't make the top 30, I'm still quite pleased with how it all turned out. Especially since I had a very short time to complete it.
