LARGE SCALE GRAPHICS
I have been challenged with making large 30-60 feet graphics that are now displayed as eye catching wall murals in rooms at the Garland Police Department building.
Each graphic had a purpose when designing them. The first was made as a "press wall" to be seen in a public area of the building. The idea was to have something that the PD can use as a backdrop for press conferences while also creating something that was appropriate for more casual events.
Once the design was created and approved I worked with a local print shop to install the graphic and oversee any issue or questions they would have while putting it in.
The next large graphic project was created for a mostly internal audience in the police department. This design was requested to showcase the different departments in the PD. While creating this graphic and sorting through photos that would be included I needed to consider the best way to represent all staff in the building while being careful to find more generic photos so everyone could picture themselves in the shot instead of an individual.
This graphic was designed to not necessarily have a start or end point. So it doesn't matter if you start the graphic from the center, left or right side it makes sense as a full picture of the police department. Now this mural is most likely one of the first things staff sees when entering the building.
