“It is all about not accepting what is presented for sale as it is”.
Product-hacking is emerging as a new way of self-expression. In this project I designed a family of small components fitting onto MUJI stationaries to perform as hand tools, including a file, a saw, a hole saw, a holder and a bender, for hacking tabletop materials like erasers, pencils, paper clips etc.
It stands as a designer's statement to make ‘hacking’ part of the creation process, leaving the end result open for prosumption.
