Busk is a yearly festival where musicians/buskers from across Europe fill the streets of Meran Merano with their talent, wonderful songs and colourful flags, creating a unique atmosphere. Usually 12-20 musicians showcase their talents to the public in 8 locations of the historical centre of the city turning it into a giant stage.

Busk requires visual 2D and 3D merchandise or promotional material for the 2017 campaign based on their current poster design. The designs need to encapsulate the festivals experience and identity.

This poster is quite simplistic, yet effective with its use of various shapes interconnecting and overlapping. Busking is very casual and intimate, so the poster design is suitable. I chose this design has I thought it would be easily replicated on other 2D and 3D designs and is effective in its simplicity. I like the mix of primary and secondary colours, which is striking. The design is also up for interpretation, and I can add other shapes and elements that would enhance my 2D and 3D designs. The sans serif font choice in white nicely contrasts against these vibrant shapes and would translate well onto other promotional material.
