The design for Alexander McQueen's showroom is inspired by McQueen's signature empire silhouettes featured throughout his collections. The concept for the space was to create an organic explosion of structural shapes and patterns mirroring the tension expressed by the shape of the empire waist. The circulation of the space is guided by curving linear 'ribs' and a gradual change in ceiling height which creates a spatial transition from the front of the showroom to the back.
