Followed by the event in 2020/2021 that was canceled due to the pandemic, I was fortunate enough to be commissioned again as the visual graphic artist to create the main illustration, poster and merchandise design for Yokkaichi Jazz Festival in 2022.
2022年度（第9回）四日市JAZZフェスティバルのメインビジュアルイラスト作成、告知用ポスター、販促グッズのデザインを担当しました。コロナウィルス感染症の蔓延によりやむなく開催中止となった2020年・2021年のイベントに続き、ビジュアル制作アーティストとしてご依頼いただきました。
The festival is finally taking place in 2 years and the main theme of the event is 'Moving forward future with the music'.
With my hope of re-energizing the town and people that sunken down due to the long-run covid restrictions, I determined to create the main illustration that is filled with positive, dynamic, and vigorous vitality: As the sun rises, music starts to play back again in the town. And all the people (regardless of sex and age) in town finally start to come alive with pleasant music.
2年ぶりの開催に向けて再び動き出した今回のフェスティバルテーマは「未来（まえ）へ進もう、音楽とともに。」
外出規制により停滞した街に活気を取り戻すため、「前進」や「躍動」、「みなぎる活気」といった、人々を突き動かすポジティブで動的な要素を大々的にイラストに盛り込みました。
街に再び音楽が流れ出すとともに地平線から朝日が昇り、老若男女を問わず街のすべての人々が、旋律に体を委ねて活気を取り戻していく様子を描いています。
This year's key colour is red which represents passion, determination and vibrant energy. I picked up scarlet/vermilion that is often used in Japanese traditional paintings and favored by masters such as Katsushika Hokusai for the colour of the rising sun and the pattern of kimonos. This colour is also used throughout the events in various mediums.
今回の開催へ向けた決意、力強さ、そして情熱といったキーワードから決定されたテーマカラーである「赤」は、日本絵画の巨匠である葛飾北斎などが日の丸や着物の色などに多用している日本らしい赤、真紅を選びました。同色はフェスティバル期間中を通し、様々な媒体において頻繁に使用されています。
The illustration for the event poster is also used as the front cover of the event pamphlet and merchandise for t-shirt and budges.
完成したメインイラストは告知用ポスター、パンフレット表紙、またTシャツと缶バッジの販促グッズにも使用されています。
