A estética "chicha" pode ser considerada uma cultura híbrida resultante da migração rural para a capital peruana Lima. O lettering muito característico e as cores intensas são inconfundíveis e hoje não é raro encontrá-los nos mais diversos suportes, como roupas, adesivos, murais e arte de rua. No entanto, nos Andes e na Amazônia, os posters "chicha" ainda hoje servem para comunicar eventos, especialmente de música local e podem ser vistos na beira das estradas, nos muros e nos postes e e geralmente são produzidos com serigrafia.
Esta série de posters usa fotos autorais tiradas em idas ao território Tawantinsuyo, palavras no idioma quechua e releitura de flores presentes nas "polleras", que são as saias usadas por nós, as mulheres do povo quechua.
"Chicha" style can be considered a hybrid culture resulting o the rural migration to Lima, the Peruvian capital. The very characteristic lettering and the intense colors are unmistakable and today it isn't rare to find it in the most diverse supports, such as clothing, stickers, murals and street art. Nevertheles, in the Andes and in the Amazon, "chicha" posters are still used to communicate and inform about events, specially of local music artists and can be found by the side of the roads, at walls, posts and are generally silk-screened.
This series of posters uses author photography made in trips do Tawantinsuyo lands, words in Quechua language and reinterpretation of flowers found in the "polleras", the skirts used by us, quechua people women.
