Letterpress Revival Historical Brochure

Mockup photography by Jeanne Salmon
The Letterpress Revival Movement is an art form which marries traditional typefaces with montage or collage of metal and woodcut ornaments, borders, and brass rule. The Letterpress Revival started in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and has remained popular due to their visceral textures, bold color, and abstract themes. These types of posters are very popular in the music industry. A brief historical account of the letterpress revival is presented here.

This brochure case study folds out to display 10 panels including front and back covers, and it holds a secret; when fully unfolded, a collage style poster is revealed showing prints from six American letterpress shops.
