Hiring assessments made easy
Goal: Make the assessment accessible for low vision and blind job applicants, and through universal design principles, better for everyone else as well.

The legacy assessment experience was clunky and confusing, and could not be completed with a screenreader.
Room for improvement

Question count is overwhelming with a high count of questions.
→  Use a percent completion and progress bar to help people see their progress.

With each statement set, people have to hold two questions in their mind at once.
→  Divid the Most vs Least selection, from the choice between two statements.

Showing 10 question "sets" on a screen encourages candidates second-guessing their answers.
→  Design mobile-first with one action on the screen at a time.

Component sketching
The biggest interaction design challenge was coming up with an interaction that would divid out the two aspects of one question into two steps. Quick idea generation was helpful at this stage.
Visual and Interaction Design
Designs further refined through iteration in Figma. Prototyping brought the ideas to life.
