Boat People was a piece about vietnamese refugees. They finally arrived and lived in Cuxhaven, partly they still live there. The Theater Group "Das Letzte Kleinod" showed their escape by boat in big pictures on special venues.
We first played in a big dry dock in the Port of Bremerhaven.
It was quite difficult to get the permission but a lot of logistic work later, it was a nice piece.
We illuminated the dry dock itself and also the surrounding, because the spectators had to walk over the area.
There was a lot of space to light up and we always had to consider that there were only a few days to build everything at the next venue.
The light had to show all the small details in this big dock.
