Sleeping Cowboy
I made a poster for a made-up band I came up with. The genre of the band is country pop/folk band. I first started off in the folk route by using elements of the desert and then I thought it would be outrageous to have the moon be implemented.
This is the word map that I came up with. I tried to connect different words together to create different concepts in my mind and then eventually come up with the poster.
This is the digital sketch that came to mind. I wanted to have the moon stand out and then have very noisy and vibrant colors in the concept. I thought that after the sketch that I needed to image trace the moon.
This is the final concept that I came up with. The colors are still very vibrant and noisy. Then the cowboy hat gives off the feeling of a neon sign which goes into the pop genre. Then the typography is the very western type and it has been used in old western advertisements. Then the moon was mage traced and then I used a lighter orange to create the moon.
