CVS Health Pharmacy Dashboard Redesign

Introduction
CVS Health is a leading health solutions company, delivering care as no one else can. Our purpose is simple and clear: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. CVS Pharmacy has been driving towards creating a better digital experience with the CVS App.
Who are our users?
Primary users are CVS customers that have downloaded the CVS Pharmacy and have begun using it to order, refill and manage household prescriptions. Other members are nurses or caretakers that are managing individuals that can not able to take care of themselves.
Defining the problem
With the current climate of the world and pandemic restrictions of the everyday user. The users are having a difficult time leaving their homes to go in-store and manage their normal prescriptions, currently, the CVS app is not optimized to help manage and find the user's prescriptions as fast and easily as the user wishes the app would run. The user would like the info of their prescriptions to be easily accessed and displayed when there are refills and upcoming orders, as well as in-process and auto refills. the user would also want an easy way for the app to navigate them to go thru the drug details and if the user wished set up a way for automation of the refilling of their prescription.

Another expressed problem with the current app is that the information is not displayed in separate or easier chunks for the user to read thru or understand. the navigation is unclear on how to navigate the to prescriptions and set up their refills and orders easily.
Roadblocks
As with every project, you will experience roadblocks, with the redesign of this pharmacy dashboard one of the major difficulties has been that it was the extremely short deadline to produce high-fidelity mockups. This resulted in cutting out initial UX discovery and locking down lofi wireframes and flow. Another issue was the removal of most of the illustrations from the CVS brand.
Success looks like
To create a dashboard that would be able to display multiple prescriptions as well as displaying multiple profiles within the family and allow a user or caregiver to manage the family's prescriptions.
Dashboard cards will break up the prescriptions so the users can scroll thru prescriptions and have easy navigation to manage that individual prescription or user's prescription.
UI Design Process
Discovery
          - Research current trends in native app dashboards
          - Gather info on competitors' current designs
Define
          - High-level problems with the current design
          - Set native or hybrid design path
          - Create metrics for success
Design
          - Create lofi wireframes
          - Iterate on components
          - Design hifi designs
          - Gather feedback from stakeholders
Refine
          - Present to Stakeholder designs and feedback
          - Create hifi screens and testable prototypes if possible
          - Testable hifi prototype and if possible test with a small user group
          - If needed refine final designs based on feedback
Deliver
          - Upload hifi mockups into Zeplin and hand them off to developers
          - Testable hifi prototype
          - Write up annotations for behaviors and accessibility notes in zeplin
          - Support developer's user stories during the coding and bug-bashing phase.
Iterations and High-Fidelity Designs
At this stage in the project, our flow and paths have been finalized and set. With both users and stakeholders agreeing to the lofi wireframes and flow we can now move forward in creating our High Fidelity mockups and use existing components within our design system library. If at this point we feel that we need a new component, we would create that component and submit to the internal design guild and add it to the design system library. With The sort and filter, it was required that I create a new set of buttons and add more variants of a button sheet with Pills and radio buttons.

Adding this to the design system will allow us to continue to use the component throughout our native apps and make the experience more consistent.
