I was asked to produce a simple brochureware site for my nextdoor neighbour’s son. This would be Total TV Solutions first website and foray intothe digital world. As the name suggests they offer audio and visual services toboth individuals and businesses in the North East Their core business isinstallation of Plasma TV’s and multi-room wiring in the home. The site will bevisited by a large cross-section of society. Young professionals wanting toinstall the latest HD TV with multi-room sky package option to the oldergeneration who are probably retired and having to switch over from analogue todigital. Therefore the site needed to be easy to navigate and the user must beable to find what they are looking for easily, whilst maintaining a professionaland credible shop front. Most of the traffic to the site will come by way of a referralthrough word-of-mouth.  The call toaction, once the visitor is satisfied on their credentials is a phone call tobook an appointment to price up a job.

With having only a limited advertising budget their vanbecomes an extension to promote the business whilst out and about. I suggestedthat it needs to feature in a prominent position on the site, tying the twotogether. I therefore set about using Adobe Illustrator to draw the van andplaced it into the footer on each page. I used the skyline silhouette techniqueto demonstrate recognisable places to amplify their credibility in the localmarketplace. The use of image reflection is echoed throughout the site and inthe logo itself. Overall Total TV Solutions are stoked about the site and Iexceeded their expectations in the design and completing the project ahead ofschedule.
