'The Diversity Archives' interactive public installation
Project Concept:
The Diversity Archives is an interactive public installation located in front of the Sydney Opera House, that utilises both graphics and experiential form to promote diversity through shared experiences. People are encouraged to fill out a survey responding to ten diversity prompts, where their answers will then be displayed on ten large circular screens, in the shape of unique fingerprints. The idea is that people are taken on a reflective journey that expands their cultural awareness, as they can walk past each screen and read about the experiences of other people, appreciating both the differences and similarities of these to their own lives.
Storyboard of the user journey throughout the interactive installation
Storyboard of the survey responses that gradually build unique fingerprint graphics on each of the 10 circular screens.
10 diversity prompts that people answer in the survey.
