Sound is usually more of an after thought for me and I feel has never been the strongest part of my animations. This time I decided that it might be more successful to make the sound the main focus of my process. I wanted to make the sound(s) I chose to be the driving force behind my images, and I wanted the images to represent, or at least appear to interact, with the sound.
Unsustainable is an After Effects animation I created while at St. Cloud University. The focus of this project was to visualize sound. Sometimes I think sounds, especially music, become after thoughts in motion graphics. So, I chose to create an animation that focused solely on bringing the sounds and ideas described in this Muse song to life.
