Street Art
Paintings on the walls of the head office of Bitė, one of the largest mobile operators in Lithuania, in Vilnius.
Drawings by Algis Kriščiūnas, work performed by Tadas Vincaitis, Karolis Grubis and Pijus Šematulskis (Baltic Murals).
"With these drawings, I wanted to tell how the technologies we use every day make our lives easier. For example, inspired by the famous 17th-century Dutch painter Johanne Vermeer's painting "Girl with a pearl earring", in my painting I created a girl not with a pearl earring, but with a wireless earpiece in her ear," Algis Krisčiūnas, the author of the idea for the paintings, says in a press release."Technology has penetrated into our everyday life so much that we take it for granted. Instead, just a moment is enough when something doesn't work as usual and we understand how dependent we are on these solutions that make our life, work, and leisure easier," adds A. Krisčiūnas.
I want to thank everyone who contributed to the implementation of this project  And especially many thanks to Sigita Būdavaitė, the initiator and organizer of the project. It's hard to believe that in such a short time, we all finally completed the task together.
The area of paintings is about 1400 square meters. The drawing process took 3 months.
