Northern Liberties Night Market

Masterplan of Night Market. There is a community space on the left for community gardening, a central plaza with a sculptural fountain that educates the community about sustainability and stormwater, a larger open space for food trucks to park, and a space for parking to the far right where visitors from outside the area can come and park if they are not using the elevated rail line.
This is a lighting diagram to show how the space will look at night when it will get most of its visitors. There is pedestrian lighting as well as paving lighting to make the space inviting as well as safe.
This diagram shows where stormwater is being captured on site.
This section shows the use of the space under I-95 where visitors can park their cars and enjoy the park setting during the day or the night market in the evening.

This is a night time view of the sculptural fountain that is in the central plaza. It is made out of re-used steel, has vegetation climbing the structure, includes flexible solar panels atop to capture enegery during the day to power some of the lights at night, and captures stormwater through pervious paving that reuses the water to feed the fountain.
This view shows how the central plaza can be used during the day and into the evening hours.
This section of the central plaza shows how each of its elements from the sculptural piece to the vegetation and paving function as a system.
This shows people entering the central plaza space from North Front Street at night. Food trucks vendors can be seen in the background.
Diagram of industrial-style pedestrian lighting created from re-used I-beams and solar panels on top for its energy.
