XOOXITY Hackathon

XOOXITY is a technology, art and music festival in Johannesburg and Cape Town. In the build-up to the actual festival, 10and5 and hellocomputer hosted a hackathon, with tech-heads and creatives teaming up to develop an interactive light-based installation to be featured in Mary Fitzgerald Square at the main festival in May. I designed the invite/promo for the hackathon, using the festival's graphics and images to inspire the final design.
Want to know more about XOOXITY? In their own words, it's “the first ever multi-genre, electronically mashed up festival in South Africa: XOOXITY (Pronounced Zoo City, the name was inspired by the Lauren Beukes book carrying the same name). XOOXITY will consist not just of multiple stages for music, but state of the art stage design, visuals, installation art, film and other creative elements. The festival will also include a fully-fledged technology component in the form of the already established Tech4Africa conference.”
