Palazzo Raiteri (1933-2022)
Constructed during the five years of Italian occupation, it housed well known commercial entities for decades including Shi solomon supermarket, Lion bar, Yohannis Jewelry and picnic basket restaurant.
It’s now being demolished by BK Group, under expansion project of Ethiopia hotel which is planned to be replaced by a high-rise building hosting a 5 star hotel.
Whether the decision to demolish it was justifiable or not is still debatable.
