The following print and packaging assignment was a part of a research project which revolved around the role of mobile phones in a parent and child relationship. The positive and negative effects of phones on their relationships.

The project guideline,  required me to pickup a suitable phone brand/ series and base the package design on an aspect of the issue related to the topic of the research project.

I decided to take up the subject of communication patterns between outstation children and their parents and reflect upon the issue of distance, lack of time spent together and budget.

The target audience is a bunch of young adults who'd like to purchase a phone for a reasonable price with some essential features and mainly for the necesssity of keeping in touch.

Shown above are the graphics of the package flaps.

The top one aims to reflect upon the wide range of distribution and connectivity that the brand has across the country portrayed through some well known monuments and landmarks.

The bottom one aims to show how its various features bring people together and make every moment of their conversation valuable.
The overall look and feel of the packaging aims to not only give the phone series a makeover but also highlight the fact that one is never too far away to connect with their loved ones with a phone that comes with a wide range of features at a reasonable price.

The choice of colours reflect a sense of comfort and an element of sensitivity along with the colours of the brand.

The birds metaphorically represent a guardian and a child.
