This portrait kicked off my project where I asked for pictures from friends so I could paint portraits of them. I wrote the details of the project here.
"Self Portrait - July 2013"
This is another self-portrait (out of, I imagine, what will be many), this time using color and aiming for a look that was harsher and looser. The wispy strands of paint coming out added a bit more excitement to what I thought was a bland piece. The vertical orientation is to lessen the amount of space I take up in the piece as a whole.
