App design_A snack ordering app for a movie theater

The product:
This is a snack ordering app which help people place and pick up multiple snack orders together at once as well as order in theatre right from their seats without having to leave their seats in order to skip in-store lines and simplify the payment process.
Project duration:
November 2021~ April 2022
The problem:
People don’t want to wait too long for a group order and want to refill the snack without leaving the seat during movie.
The goal:
Design an snack ordering app that lets user easily and quickly place single or group order before arrive the theater or right from their seat during the movie.
My role:
UX Designer designing an app from conception to delivery.
Responsibilities:
user research, conducting usability studies, conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, iterating on designs, testing accessibility
I conducted user interviews and created empathy maps to understand the needs and pain points of users I’m designing for. A primary user group identified through research was people who goes to the theater with a group (more than five people) or alone.
This research confirmed the assumptions about the users wanting an app for advance ordering.

Pain point:
1.Time-Usually find a huge line of people in front of snack shops, which results in taking a lot of time to give and get order.
2. Missing movie-Sometimes, users miss some part of movie due to not getting order on time or want to refill during movie.
3. Group payment-People get confuse on getting the money back from everyone if someone pays initially.
