John & Paul - Craft Brewery
Die fiktive Traditionsbrauerei "John & Paul" ist eine amerikanische Familienbrauerei, die seit dem frühen 20ten Jahrhundert verschiedene Biersorten herstellt und verkauft. Inspiriert durch die zwei Heiligen Johannes und Paulus kam ich auf die Idee zum Namen und zu den verschiedenen grafischen Elementen im Logo. Die beiden Brüder werden oft mit einem heiligen Schein und Schwert abgebildet und diese Elemente finden sich im Bierlabel der Brauerei wieder.
Ich habe mir zudem die Aufgabe gestellt, das traditionelle Design der Biermarke mit einer modernen Gestaltung für eine Bierdose zu kombinieren und so das "Holy Beer" entwickelt. Die drei Sorten Pale Ale, Strong Ale und Golden Ale zeigen beispielhaft das Grunddesign der Dosen. Das Thema Religion und Heiligtum wird immer wieder von mir aufgegriffen und zieht sich vom Namen über die Texte bis hin zur Optik der Dosen. Das ist die "John & Paul - Craft Brewery".

The fictitious traditional brewery "John & Paul" is an American family brewery, which produces and sells different kinds of beer since the early 20th century. Inspired by the two saints John and Paul, I came up with the idea for the name and the different graphic elements in the logo. The two brothers are often depicted with a holy shine and sword and these elements are reflected in the brewery's beer label.
I also set myself the task of combining the traditional design of the beer brand with a modern design for a beer can and thus developed the "Holy Beer". The three varieties Pale Ale, Strong Ale and Golden Ale exemplify the basic design of the cans. The theme of religion and sanctuary is taken up again and again by me and runs from the name to the texts to the look of the cans. This is the "John & Paul - Craft Brewery".
